data on current customers, learning where their interests lie, then altering
future goals to align with the consumer trends.

companies who have the recourses to gauge consumer interests.

I think that this opportunity is easy for a
company that has enough recourses to gather information from a large pool of
customers or potential customers. However, for a smaller company, finding the recourses
necessary to conduct a sufficient sample could prove to be very difficult.

I saw this opportunity because, throughout my
years in college, I have been taught to realize that companies can only remain competitive
by staying ahead of the industry trends.

I think that an opportunity exists here because
the trend in business is to higher quality employee’s and sales people rather
than relying on the rule of large numbers by hiring many underqualified
employee’s and hoping that a few are successful.

The prototypical customer would be business that
are looking to employ highly qualified individuals.
o
I think that this opportunity is easy for
companies that have the capital to attract highly qualified candidates.
However, for companies that do not have an abundance of capital, it may be very
difficult to persuade the candidates to join their organization.

I saw this opportunity because I have noticed a
trend in recent job openings on the UF career website. Many jobs that used to
only require a high school diploma, such as an insurance salesmen, now require
a college degree. Companies want applicants who are able to explain, in detail,
the products and services offered.

I believe that an opportunity is present because
many mid to large companies will need to either create or enlarge their finance
departments or hire an outside company to handle their finances.

The prototypical customer would either be an accounting
firm or an accountant that is looking for an in-house job.

I think that this opportunity will be relatively
easy for firms and individuals to obtain because business that lack adequate finance
departs will be forced to accommodate for the new regulations.

I saw this opportunity because I study in the
field of business and I am aware of how important it is to comply with
government regulations.
- · Regulatory changes: the social security number removal initiative of section 501 of the Medicare access and CHIP reauthorization act

I believe that an opportunity exists here
because there will be new Medicare Beneficiary Identifies that have updated
security measures and medical and insurance companies will be required by law
to have the proper technology to accept the updated identification cards.

The prototypical customer would be the business
that make the machines that identify and accept the identification cards.
o
I believe that this opportunity will be easy to
obtain because all organizations that have outdated technology will be required
to obtain devices that meet the current regulatory standards.
o
I found this interesting because this issue is
also related to the Affordable Care Act (ACA) which is a hot topic in politics.
I have been keeping a close watch on the ACA and am very interested to see what
end up happening.

ReplyDeleteI found the first article particularly interested because I believe it is very important to gather data on current customers as stated, rather than what past customers have experienced. Obviously past customers are important, however i think it is crucial for businesses to look to the future and where their customer base is going rather than where it has been. I also think that there is a huge opportunity for change, and I think that will be the case with medicare access and the ID cards discussed. Well done!

I also believe that there is a great opportunity to update security measures. Because our technological environment is always changing, it is important to be sure that security measures change as well.

ReplyDeleteAll your article are worth to read. However, I am really interested in your first article which is about data collection for customer. In my own opinion, the data collection is the most important thing to analyse customer behavior and their habits in order to improve the business. Both the past and the future customers are important for a business. Great work!
This post was organized very well. It was clear to identify where the different ideas began and ended. I thought the topics you discussed were also very interesting, such as the topic involving the removal of social security numbers. There are topics that impact everyone, and so it is important to look at different opportunities that could arise from these trends and regulations. Great post!
