The book that I chose was Inbound
Marketing.
·
I found this book to be very
pertinent to my product. It was all about what separates good and bad advertising
with a focus on the internet. Knowing what makes for a good advertising strategy
would be extremely beneficial to my product.
·
The book enhanced my experience by
helping to guide me towards what makes for a successful product in this field.
I find the discussions about advertising via social media to be very similar with
my product which allowed me to relate well with the book.
·
If I were to design an exercise, it
would be to have student’s conduct interviews with people that they think would
be target customers and discover if the tactics discussed in this book would be
successful.
·
My biggest surprise would be to look
at a certain advertising industry, such as google or another site and see the differences
between this theory and what is actually being used in the real world. Many
real world practices differ from their respective theory but after reading the
book, I thought that it would be likely to be reality, however, after looking
at difference industries, I realized that that is not true.
Cody,
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like this book was very relevant to your commercial and advertising service. You bring up a good point about advertising with social media, as the fact of the matter is that it is the direction in which our society is headed. I believe soon, everything will be done over social media. I think there are quite a bit of opportunities for you to grow and expand your idea, and I wouldn't be surprised if I see it implemented in the future!
Hey Cody,
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you really did enjoy the reading! I'm glad you found a book that is incredibly pertinent to your product so you could enhance your learning about the field before taking more action. Social media is an ever increasing presence in markets, and I believe that everything will be run through social media very soon. Great work! So excited to see what else you have to add to this.
